We offer quality instruction in partner dancing at an affordable price. Unlike many instructors, we teach group classes together. In this way, we can not only show the leader's and follower's footwork, but how a figure looks when danced by a couple. We put a strong emphasis on learning how to lead and follow the figures since that is what makes ballroom dancing distinctive among the various forms of dance. Read more about our goals, our teaching methods, or our background.
Residing in the suburbs of Cleveland, OH, we offer group and private instruction in all styles of ballroom throughout the Northeast Ohio region. We love dancing and enjoy sharing our passion for it with others. To register for a group class, schedule a private lesson, or get more information, email us at hankandsaradance@yahoo.com or call us at 216-849-4309.
Group dance classes for the public are currently on hold as we plan our wedding. We will continue to offer private
lessons during this time. Check back in September for information on new sessions of classes at the different locations at which we teach lessons to the public:
Do you have a group of friends that would enjoy taking lessons together or know of a location near you where you would you like to have some ballroom dance lessons? Let us know!
Private lessons give a student or a couple our individual attention. We can spend time on specifically those items on which a student wants to focus or choreograph a dance to a particular song. We teach private lessons at Above the Barre in Berea, Dancing Wheels in downtown Cleveland, and Prana Yoga and Dance in Broadview Heights. We have also occasionally taught private lessons at locations arranged by our students, including fitness centers and church/school activity centers. We charge $70 per hour (that's for both instructors - one leader and one follower!), plus the floor fee of the studio ($7 at Above the Barre for a total of $77 per hour-long private lesson, $10 at Dancing Wheels for a total of $80 per hour-long private lesson, $30 at Prana for a total of $100 per hour-long private lesson) or a possible convenience fee for lessons held at another location (dependent upon distance and driving time).
We can also offer semi-private lessons for three to six students interested in learning together.
At some point in the future, we could offer private lessons individually (with just one or the other of us) at a slightly lower cost if there is a high enough demand on our time.
